Alan Backdrop – Ætherna (Album Review)

Recently, I was searching on any new albums to listen in Techno music and fortunately, I stumbled upon a new self released album from Alan Backdrop.

To be honest, I did not know about Alan Backdrop until Nina Kraviz had played one of his tracks at Eiffel Tower for Cercle and this track was my instant favourite from the tour.

Later on, I started listening to Alan Backdrop and there have been some quality releases from the artist.

Ætherna, the self-released album from Alan Backdrop is a 20-track solo artist album released on Bandcamp is a techno music listener heaven.

Starting with track Sofia which is a perfect intro track having slow rhythms and melodic music, this makes you feel that this is the album which I am listening to it at present is going to be an amazing one.

Next up is the Atemporal Tribe which transports you into another dimension with techno music vibes and a slight touch of acid which makes this track transport you into a wormhole.

After a journey via track Atemporal Tribe, come back to melodic music with a techno touch from the next track titled Mild Universe. A dancefloor-friendly track, Mild Universe leads you to the next track which has a  slight Goa Trance feel and is titled, Invisible Line.

Invisible Line is one of my favourite tracks from the album as it has a slight touch of Acid, Goa Trance and Techno Music.

Next up is one more dancefloor-friendly track titled Filling Space which has beautiful melodies and the bass & synth on this track makes people dance in trance.

On continuing listening to this album you will find the beauty that Alan Backdrop has carefully produced and mastered making it sound not too commercial but in lines of EDM music or the section of people who love listening to Techno Music.

If you want to listen to Raw/Deep/Hypnotic Techno and not mainstream techno then this is the album which you need to purchase and support the artist as this is years of work that should not go unappreciated.
