As a backpacker myself, I tend to stay at hostels as they are cheap, a place where you get to meet many people and sometimes also take a tour from hostels so that you do not spend time looking where and what to do once you check-in. Although many people are yet to accept the hostel culture (which by the way is growing) many hostels dotting the beaches of Goa which are all known and have made a mark among themselves.
