From April, These countries are reopening for tourism

After a long hiatus of 2 years, it’s finally time for travelling across the world as many countries are easing restrictions for tourists.  Here are some of the countries which are reopening for travel starting April 01 onwards.

1) Thailand

The popular SE Asian Destination of Thailand is all set to welcome tourists starting April 01.

With this news, travellers will no longer require a pre-departure Covid test taken 72 hours before entry to the country however one needs to still undergo an RTPCR test upon landing and a rapid antigen test to be taken on day 05 while staying in the country.

2) South Korea

South Korea is all set to make travel easier starting April 01 for international tourists. Those who are fully vaccinated against coronavirus and have registered their vaccination history with the Q-Code website will be able to visit the country and not have to undergo mandatory quarantine.

However, if more than 180 days have passed since the passenger is fully vaccinated then a booster dose is required to have to be considered as fully vaccinated.

As per the Korea Tourism Organisation’s website, overseas travellers will receive a QR code via the Q-Code system, which they can get scanned at immigration.

3) Hong Kong

Hong Kong is all set to welcome tourists from 9 countries which include the USA, France, UK, India starting April 01.

Also, the mandatory hotel quarantine will be reduced to seven days from 14 days. Travellers need to undergo a mandatory covid test at the airport before heading off to the hotel quarantine.

4) Canada

The government of Canada recently announced that effective April 01, 2022, fully vaccinated travellers can visit Canada and will not be required to provide pre-entry Covid19 results to visit Canada via Air, Water or Land.

Travellers will however be subjected to select mandatory random testing where they have to undergo Covid19 Molecular Testing but those who are selected will not be required to undergo quarantine while waiting for their result.

5) Malaysia

Another SE Asian Destination on the list which is all geared up to reopen its borders for international tourism is Malaysia which is all set to reopen from April 01 onwards.

Referring to this, the Malaysian government recently made an announcement that the nation is all set to welcome tourists as the nation has managed to reach an endemic stage of Covid.

6) Singapore

Singapore also joins the list of relaxing travel restrictions starting April 01 and as per reports, it will furthermore do not require Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) requirements.

With this, all fully vaccinated passengers will only need to take pre-departure tests and meet all the prevailing visa requirements, but they will no longer have to undergo quarantine or on-arrival testing.
