Fully Vaccinated Travellers from India can now travel to Turkey

A piece of great news for Indian tourists who are planning to visit Turkey as passengers who are certified of receiving 2 doses of vaccines approved by WHO or Turkey will be exempted from mandatory quarantine requirements.

This is a newly updated rule for travellers as the country has decided that fully vaccinated travellers from India will no longer be subjected to mandatory 14 days quarantine. This new rule came into effect on 4th September and the same was communicated via Twitter by the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi.

Who can travel to Turkey?

The land famous for hot air balloons at Cappadocia, Göbekli Tepe, Mount Nemrut etc will now allow passengers who are certified being fully vaccinated with at least 2 doses of vaccine approved for emergency use by WHO or Turkey provided at least 14 days has been passed since the last dose will be exempted from Mandatory Quarantine.

People who are travelling from India to Turkey will be required to submit a Negative Covid-19 certificate of RT-PCR test report done not more than 72 hours before arrival wherein the rule will also be applicable for passengers who have been in India for the past 14 days.

Rules for passengers who are not vaccinated.

Passengers who are not vaccinated against Covid 19 need to quarantine at the address that they provide. On the 10th day, they need to take the RT-PCR test and if the result turns to be negative, the quarantine of the passenger will be terminated, however, if the test result turns positive then treatments in accordance with covid-19 guidelines will be subjected to the passenger. The quarantine period for passengers who do not wish to take the RT-PCR test will be extended to 14 days.

Who all will be exempted?

Passengers under the age of 12 will be exempted from taking the RT-PCR test and vaccine certificate upon entry said the statement.

There will not be any PCR test requirement and quarantine for the crew, additionally, this requirement is not applicable for transit/transfer passengers.
