Founder of Lollapalooza, Perry Farrell expressed his excitement about India finally hosting the festival and one can imagine the spectacular artist lineup for this amazing music festival.

Perry Farrell, WME and C3 Presents, have joined hands with BookMyShow to promote and co-produce Lollapalooza India.

According to Walker, founder of C3 Presents, it might be difficult for US or European bands to tour in India and it’s not very cost-effective, especially if they’re not arena or stadium-level act.

“So I think Lollapalooza as a form of musical discovery can bring a lot of artists to India that the fans would not otherwise be able to see live. So that kind of connects our mission and Mumbai looked like the right place when we looked at all the metrics,” he added.

Initially planned as a 2-day festival, Lollapalooza India will feature four stages with over 20 hours of live music performed by some of the biggest names music industry both International Artists and Domestic Artists.

Early Bird tickets for the Lollapalooza India edition will start from Rs 7,000.

More details on the lineup will be announced at the end of August.
