Their latest offering is The Original Disco Mixes, Vol. 1 compilation which is a collection of 30 tracks from various artists and remixes from industry giants like Masters at Work (MAW), John Morales, Dimitri from Paris, Shep Pettibone.
The album consists of music from artists like Loleatta Holloway, Double Exposure, The Salsoul Orchestra, Skyy, Anthony White and host of many others who ruled the disco, funk and soul scene.
The 30 track compilation album begins with Loleatta Holloway famous song Love Sensation which is remixed by Shep Pettibone and is a 12” Mix, followed by Double Exposure- My Love Is Free with 12” remix by Tom Moulton. With one song to another having some of the amazing remixes, you are in for a treat with listening to classic music and rewind the songs in your memory lane.
Salsoul being one of the oldest record labels in the music industry was founded in the year 1974 and it is a part of BMG Rights Management. With many famous artists such as The Salsoul Orchestra, Aurra, Skyy, Inner Life, Rafael Cameron, Instant Funk, Loleatta Holloway, Civil Attack, Double Exposure, Carol Williams, Jocelyn Brown, and Charo being a part of Salsoul Records since its inception. It is one of the many labels that was affected by Disco Backlash in the year 1979 and was defunct in the year 1985, but later the record was relaunched in the year 1992 with gaining many accolades in Disco and Funk scene of music.
