One of the latest remix compilation collection which I have been waiting to listen since long time was John Morales remixes of some of the collection of Teddy Pendergrass music.
And recently, the compilation, The Voice – Remixed with Philly Love was released and I soon grabbed a digital copy as and when it was released and enjoyed listening to the music.
One of the Philadelphia’s iconic singer, Theodore DeReese Pendergrass born in 1950, he sang in church music at the age of two. Having learned drums and played in local bands during his teens, at age twenty, he was hired as a drummer for the Blue Notes by group leader Harold Melvin. After being spotted singing along onstage, he was soon appointed lead singer, and the rest is history…
On the other hand, one of the industry’s leading disco house remixer, John Morales who masterfully remixes some of the classic songs from Teddy Pendergrass where he allows each of the music to be heard with clarity without losing the original music.
The quality of sound engineering, the production, arrangement where the music’s subtlety is still maintained can be listened in the compilation.
This compilation was released via lable, BBE Music where they had 3x Vinyl LP and 2x CD however, Philedelphia International Records/Legacy released the remix collection digitally which you can grab a copy of visiting the links below.
