If you find yourself staying at a distant location far off from the city, kindly take a photograph of the place.

Photograph everything which you come across, it might be a place, building, food or the car/bike which you took for rent.

Photos are ultimate proof for whatever you come across if you are renting a bike/car take a photo if you find that your room is dodgy with no safety take a photo, photograph your travel documents, insurance, visa, booking number etc which will help you to speak up even when your luggage is stolen, photo the contains of your luggage before checking out of the room and also take a photo of your luggage before check-in so that you can show that there was no dentures or issues before you checked in at the airport.

Although photos cannot get you the money back, it will help you to prove your point and stop the hiring companies or police to charge you heftily for the damage that has been caused. And it is important to keep a backup of your photo in a secure cloud service which will be helpful for you to show the photos even when your phone is lost/stolen.
